On our 2nd day in California we headed to Universal Studios. I was so pleased that our travel agent suggested we book the VIP Experience. It is a brilliant way to see the park and maximise the day to its full potential as everything is fast tracked. We started off at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and luckily we did as I think Zara would have been distraught otherwise. We then headed to the other “Worlds”: The Mummy, Transformers, The Simpsons etc. One of the highlights was the AMAZING buffet lunch that was included (dare I say one of the best buffet lunches I have had on a tour before!). Afterwards we went on the Behind the Scenes Movie Tour and for the girls this was a huge highlight with many of the “sets” actually come to life including a flood, an earthquake and a high speed chase – like we are literally in the movie! The tour guides are exceptionally entertaining with their stories and I loved checking out the Prop Room. Plus, the tour finished at 4pm and we still had a few more hours to enjoy our favourite rides, shows and test out the girls new Harry Potter wands. OH! and eat the biggest donut ever!
